FIFA IS LOOKING ON HOW OPEN SPORT ACTIVITIES WITH SCHEDULE IMPACTED BY COVID-19 by Covid-19.

The prevalence of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has impacted the world of sports globally, with events either postponed or cancelled by organizers.
This will have an impact on SuperSport’s ability to broadcast the relevant sporting events. We will continue to monitor the situation and make the necessary changes to our broadcast schedule as developments occur.
The impacted sports are as per below. Any updates will be made available on SuperSport Blitz, www.supersport.com as well as our social media platforms.
All rescheduled events will be broadcast on SuperSport.
OLYMPIC GAMES
- The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, due to start on July 24, have been postponed until 2021. They will take place next year from July 23 to August 8.
TENNIS
- Wimbledon, scheduled from June 29 to July 12, cancelled
- Roland Garros has been moved from May 24 - June 7, and will now be held from September 20 - October 4
- Indian Wells Tennis 1000 event / 09 - 22 March – cancelled
- The ATP and WTA Miami Open (March 23 through April 5) cancelled
- The ATP and WTA tennis competitions have extended the suspension of their seasons until June 7. Events affected by the shutdown include the combined ATP/WTA tournaments in Madrid and Rome, the WTA events in Strasbourg and Rabat and ATP events in Munich, Estoril, Geneva and Lyon.
- Absa Premiership suspended indefinitely on 23 March.
- The Euro 2020 Championships have been moved from June-July 2020 to June-July 2021
- English Premier League suspended, will only resume when it is 'safe and appropriate'.
- Champions League suspended until further notice
- Serie A – All Matches postponed until further notice. LaLiga suspended indefinitely.
- German Bundesliga suspended until further notice
- Europa League suspended until further notice.
- International friendlies cancelled: 26 March: Netherlands v USA; 27 March: Wales v Austria, England v Italy, Belgium v Portugal, 29 March: Netherlands v Spain, 30 March: Wales v USA, Switzerland v Belgium, Portugal v Croatia; 31 March: England v Denmark
- All international matches scheduled for June cancelled
- 2020 Vodacom Super Rugby tournament suspended for the foreseeable future
- The SuperSport Rugby Challenge – scheduled to kick off on the weekend of 24/25 April – has been postponed until further notice
- The Pro14 has been suspended. Final at Cardiff City Stadium, set to take place on June 20, cancelled
- FNB Varsity Cup suspended. Final decision on the fate of the competition to be made at the end of April.
- Six Nations suspended

- Indian Premier League (IPL), originally scheduled to begin on 29 March, postponed indefinitely
Proteas tour to Sri Lanka scheduled to be played in the first half of June and consisting of three one-day internationals and three T20 International matches, postponed.

- Three US-based major golf championships announced rescheduled 2020 dates Monday in the wake of the British Open being called off until 2021
- This year's Masters tournament, the season's first major golf championship, set to start April 9, is now slated to go ahead from November 12-15
- The US PGA Championship, the second major on the 2020 golf calendar scheduled for May 14-17, is now set to be staged from August 6-9 at Harding Park in San Francisco
The US Open has been moved from June to September 17-20, the week before the Ryder Cup clash between Europe and the United States.
The Players Championship was cancelled after the first round (Mar 12).
The adjusted 2019-20 US PGA Tour season, which was halted in mid-March, is scheduled to resume without spectators from June 11-15 in Fort Worth, Texas, with the Charles Schwab Challenge that was originally set to be held May 18-24.
The second event will be the June 18-21 RBC Heritage in South Carolina, which was originally cancelled but will now fill the week vacated by the US Open which was previously moved to September.
- The June 22-28 Travelers Championship in Connecticut and July 2-5 Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit make up the final two events currently set to be played with no spectators.
- All US PGA Tour tournaments cancelled up to the AT&T Byron Nelson (May 4-10). Cancelled tournaments include the Valspar Championship (March 19-22), Valero Texas Open (March 30-April 5), Zurich Classic of New Orleans (April 20-26) and Wells Fargo Championship (April 27-May 3).The Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship (March 26-29) has been postponed.
- WGC - Dell Technologies Match Play / 26-28 March - cancelled.
- The Canadian Open, originally scheduled to run June 11-14, has been cancelled.

The 124th Boston Marathon, scheduled for April 20, has been postponed to September 14
The London marathon, which was due to take place on April 26, has been postponed to October 4
The Diamond League was forced to cancel events in London, Zurich and Rabat with the first event provisionally set for Monaco in August.
Three Diamond League athletics meetings will now be held in August: in Monaco (Aug 14), Gateshead in England (16), and Stockholm (23). Those would be followed by September meetings in Lausanne, Brussels, Paris,
Shanghai and possibly Rome or Naples, and in October by meetings in Eugene in the United States, Doha and an unspecified Chinese venue.
